Massage Therapy Policies

Massage Therapy Guidelines

  • You must be 18 years or older to participate in the Massage Therapy Program.
  • Payment of $20 is due before the massage appointments can be scheduled. Once payment is received and eligibility for the program is verified, you will be contacted by a Health Promotion Staff Member to schedule your massage.
  • Full-time staff, their spouses/domestic partners and dependents are eligible for five massages per calendar year (January–December).
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointments to complete any necessary paperwork.
  • We will try to honor your request for a specific therapist however if a therapists schedule is full we may not be able to accommodate your request.

Cancellation/No-Show Policy

  • Cancellations require 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not be rescheduled.
  • If you do not show up for your appointment, you will be notified by a Health Promotion Staff member. Clients that no-show will not be allowed to reschedule their appointments. After the second no-show, the client will not be eligible for the massage therapy program.
  • If you arrive up to 10 minutes late for your appointment, your appointment time will be reduced. For example, if your appointment is at 5 p.m. and you show up at 5:10 p.m., your massage session will be reduced by 10 minutes. This is to ensure that the remaining appointments run on time.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will forfeit your massage.
