    Starr has a Master's in Counselor Education from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her experience in Health Promotion and Prevention began at VCU within the Office of Health Promotion, where she served as the Health Promotion Specialist for Coaching & Programs. In this role, she oversaw the Well-Being Coaching Program, created campus-wide health promotion campaigns like the Stall Seat Journal, and collaborated with campus partners to further prevention efforts on campus. Starr's approach to prevention education is grounded in holistic, evidence-based strategies. She is passionate about empowering students with the information, tools, and resources needed to make informed decisions about their health. Outside of work, Starr loves to read, craft, and try new restaurants around Richmond.
