Wellness Graduation Requirement

In keeping with the University of Richmond's objective of fostering knowledge and personal wellness, every undergraduate at Richmond is required to complete a three-part series on wellness.

The University requires all first-year and transfer students to complete WELL 085, a comprehensive alcohol education and prevention program, during their first semester on campus. Successful completion of the requirement is mandatory for graduation.

In addition, students must complete two topics in health education, known as Plus2 courses (WELL 090). Topics address a variety of health and wellness concerns college students face such as stress management, sexual health, nutrition, and exercise. It is strongly recommended that students complete the WELL 090 requirement before their third year of matriculation.
